Andrea Steele, the wife of former Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Steele, died on Tuesday, July 24, 2023, at the age of 59. The cause of death was not immediately released.

Steele was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business. She married Michael Steele in 1985, and the couple had two children.

Steele was a strong advocate for Republican causes and served on the boards of several conservative organizations. She was also a member of the Republican National Committee. In 2011, she was named by The Washington Post as one of the "50 Most Powerful African Americans in Washington."
