Klay Thompson 3 Point Record

Klay Thompson Sets New NBA Record

14 3-Pointers in Single Game

429 3-Point Field Goal Percentage For 200 Playoff Threes

WEB October 30 2018 604 AM - If you somehow missed it Monday, Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors was in a historic zone against the Chicago Bulls.

Warriors All-Star Klay Thompson broke out of his early-season slump in a big way Monday night, knocking down 14 3-pointers in a win over the Bulls to set an NBA single-game record.

Thompson finished the game with 52 points, going 14-for-24 from 3-point range. The previous single-game record was 13, set by Kobe Bryant in 2006 and tied by Donyell Marshall in 2005.

Thompson's performance was all the more impressive considering he had been struggling to find his shot early in the season. He was shooting just 33.3% from 3-point range in the Warriors' first five games.

But Thompson found his rhythm against the Bulls, hitting his first four 3-pointers of the game. He finished the first half with 28 points, including 8-of-12 shooting from 3-point range.

Thompson continued to hit big shots in the second half, helping the Warriors pull away for the win. He finished the game with 14 3-pointers, breaking the NBA single-game record and setting a new Warriors franchise record.

Thompson's performance was a reminder of why he is one of the best shooters in the NBA. He is a threat to score from anywhere on the court, and he can get hot quickly.

The Warriors will need Thompson to continue to shoot well if they want to make another run at the NBA championship. He is a key part of their offense, and he can make a big difference in a game.
